Executive Board

Achmea Bank has an Executive Board and a Supervisory Board. The Executive Board is responsible for the strategy, the policies and the decisions regarding the daily operations of Achmea Bank . The Supervisory Board oversees the executive board and gives advice.

The Achmea Bank Executive Board has two members, all of whom have extensive experience in the financial sector. They possess a good understanding of the role of banks in society and are capable of making balanced assessments of the interests of all our stakeholders.

The composition of the Executive Board is such as to enable it to perform its duties properly. Complementary attributes and skill sets, collegiate decision-making and diversity are the requirements for effective management performance. The Executive Board are jointly responsible for the operations of the bank and decisions are made on the basis of unanimity.

Pierre Huurman is chairman of the Achmea Bank Executive Board.
Previously he was divisional chairman at Staalbankiers. Before that he was responsible for marketing and investments at Staalbankiers.
Prior to joining Staalbankiers he held various management positions at ABN AMRO.
Pieter Emmen is Chief Financial Officer at Achmea Bank.
Previously, among other posts, he worked as director Group Risk Management at Rabobank.
Prior to that he held various other management positions at Rabobank such as Director of Rabobank Mortgage Bank.
